We walked a lot during our week trek on Isle Royale, which made birding a near impossibility except at one camp site where there were tons of ducks (more on that later).  Flowers, however, are easy to spot along the trail, and I got fairly good at choosing my camera settings, framing the shot, and taking the picture in less than three seconds (so as to not fall too far behind my fellow hikers who kept on trudging forward during the photographic process).  Here are a few fast snaps I managed to get of flowers I saw for no more than 10 seconds each.
